Sharq Investment Company - K.S.C. (c), originally established as Emerald Investment Company, is a Kuwaiti closed shareholding company formalized through the notarized Memorandum of Association No. 1709/leather 1 on March 26, 2005. The company was entered into the commercial register under No. 106750 on April 3, 2005, by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It operates as a subsidiary of the United Healthcare Holding Company K.S.C. (c) (closed).
On October 12, 2011, during its General Assembly meeting, the decision was made to rename Zomoroda Investment Company to its present designation, Sharq Investment Company, ensuring its status as a closed Kuwaiti shareholding company.
Capital Structure of the Company:
- The earlier capital configuration of Sharq Investment was KD 35 million, which was allocated across 350 million shares, each with a nominal value of 100 fils.
- As reported in the annual financial statement for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2022, the company's authorized, issued, and fully paid-up capital is KD 15.185 million, matching the same amount for the year 2021, and spread over 151.850 million shares, each also worth 100 fils.
- Within the capital framework, there are 83,254,141 shares that have been fully subscribed and paid for in cash, complemented by 68,595,859 shares that were issued in the context of a merger with Dana Investment Company K.S.C. (c).
