Gulf Takaful Insurance Company K.S.C.C. Capital Adjustments of Gulf Takaful Insurance Company
During an Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting held on October 8, 2017, the shareholders agreed on a capital decrease from 121,348,190 shares to 100,000,000 shares. This decision, based on a recommendation from the Board of Directors' meeting on March 22, 2017, entailed utilizing KD 303,765 to write-off accumulated losses and allocating KD 111,360 to reserves. The remaining KD 1,942,414 was set to be distributed to shareholders in proportion to their ownership stakes in the company.
The capital reduction was officially recorded in the Commercial Register on November 20, 2017.
According to the financial statements for the fiscal year that ended on December 31, 2022, Gulf Takaful Insurance Company's authorized, issued, and fully paid-up capital stood at KD 10 million, mirroring the amount from 2021. This capital was divided into 100 million shares, each with a nominal value of 100 fils, and every share was fully paid for in cash.
