Boubyan Capital Investment Company was established on 12 November 2007 as a Kuwaiti Closed Shareholding Company with a KWD 15 million divided into 150 million shares with a nominal value of 100 fils per share.

The company’s business depends on two main pillars:

- Management of Boubyan Bank investments and assets:

This department is divided into two divisions: Direct Investment and Real Estate.

- Asset Management:

This department is divided into two divisions: the department in charge of fund’s structuring and management for the clients, in addition to e-trading.

The Company manages around USD 1 billion (about KWD 300 million) worth of investments on behalf of Boubyan Bank, both locally and international, but mostly overseas. The bank has real estate and financial investments in the United States of America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

The company manages Boubyan Bank's stakes in its subsidiaries and associates, such as Bank Indonesia in which it holds 25% stake, Bank of London and the Middle East, with 20% stake, the United Bank of Sudan with 21.6% stake, and Bahrain's First Investment Bank with 10% stake. The company manages a group of funds in Kuwaiti Dinars and US Dollars and invests in various fields. It also acquired Central Bank of Kuwait’s approval to establish an open-ended investment fund in KWD with open capital.
