"Boubyan Capital" Launches “Lean in” to Enhance and Support Leadership

Boubyan Capital Investment Company, the investment arm of Boubyan Bank, announced the launch of its new initiative "Lean In," aimed at supporting and empowering its female leaders and enhancing their role in the workplace to ensure and promote transparency and innovation in decision-making, thereby creating a more inclusive and successful future.

Over the course of a year, the initiative will focus on creating a supportive professional community, where a few prominent female leaders will be hosted to hold a series of monthly discussion meetings and workshops. During these sessions, they will share their professional experiences, inspire employees to achieve their career aspirations, and enhance their presence in leadership positions. 

The initiative will also allow employees to discuss challenges, exchange experiences, and create an integrated community that facilitates communication and interaction among female employees.

The first "Lean In" meeting took place last March, featuring Boubyan Capital's CEO, Baderia Al-Humaidi, who shared her professional experience with the attendees. The meeting witnessed positive interaction from the participants, who discussed several important issues facing women in the workplace, how to confront these challenges, enhance leadership skills, and achieve a work-life balance. The dialogue also covered steps to build self-confidence and exploring effective strategies for professional success.

In this context, Hala Al-Qabandi, Assistant Director of Human Resources at Boubyan Capital, stated: "The company places the concepts of leadership and empowerment at the core of its corporate culture, recognizing the importance of developing competencies as one of the main factors for success and sustainability. Therefore, we work on empowering all employees, regardless of their job levels, through a supportive work environment that achieves equality in outstanding performance, contributing to building leadership teams capable of facing challenges and achieving the company's strategic goals."

She added that empowering women in the workplace of Boubyan Capital is an integral part of this comprehensive approach that extends beyond providing job opportunities to include building a culture that encourages growth and continuous development. The "Lean In" initiative seeks to reinforce this concept by providing an interactive platform that brings together various experiences, aligning with the company's vision for developing a more inclusive work environment with equal opportunities, where female competencies are a fundamental element in the success and advancement of institutions.

She further explained that "Lean In" is not just a series of meetings, but a strategic step aimed at creating real change in the work environment, as "we believe that providing ongoing support and guidance significantly contributes to building female leadership capable of achieving success and positively influencing various fields." Boubyan Capital follows a specific approach to support and empower women in leadership, believing in their pivotal role in promoting diversity and reinforcing inclusivity, which contributes to achieving balance and innovation within the work environment.
