The value of trading increased by 13.7% from 2020 to KD 170.2 million. The market capitalization of the top twenty companies, in terms of value traded, increased by 46.8%. The authorized capital of the 106 Hybrid companies reached KD 2.3 billion where shares were traded in 97 of them.

The authorized capital of the 106 Hybrid companies reached KD 2.3 billion where shares were traded in 97 of them. As for the volume of trade, 4.65 billion shares were traded in 2021, representing a 144% increase from the volume traded in 2020 and 28.5% higher than that of 2019. Shares were traded through 5,674 deals in 2021 which is 53% higher than the number of deals done in 2019 but 46% lower than 2020.
