The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has issued Decision No. 181 of 2025, granting  Ahli Capital Investment Company (ABK Capital) a license to establish a collective investment scheme under the name Ahli Capital USD Money Market Fund. The fund will be open for public subscription with a variable capital structure.

Key details include:

•    Capital Range:
Minimum: $7,000,000 USD
Maximum: $350,000,000 USD
•    Unit Price:
Nominal value of $10 USD per unit
•    Initial Subscription Requirement:
No investor may initially subscribe for less than $1,000 USD in whole units.
•    Number of Units Offered:
35,000,000 units totaling $350,000,000 USD
•    Minimum Fund Manager Participation:
The fund manager must subscribe with at least $350,000 USD, equivalent to at least KWD 100,000.
The fund manager may redeem or sell part of their units if their net value exceeds the required minimum.
•    Subscription Period:
The fund is granted a temporary license for three months from the start of the subscription period to meet CMA requirements and the minimum capital threshold. No fund activity is permitted under the temporary license.
•    Closure of Subscription Period:
The applicant may close the offering earlier than planned once the required capital is reached, with at least three business days' notice to the targeted subscribers.
•    Failure to Meet Requirements:
If the fund does not meet the requirements within the temporary license period, the license will lapse—unless an extension is approved prior to expiry.
•    License Validity After Completion:

Once capital requirements are met and the fund is registered with the CMA; it will be granted a license valid for three years.

The CMA urged all relevant parties to implement this decision, which is effective as of the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
