Kuwait Airways and Impulse: Strategic Agreement to Support the National Carrier’s Digital Transformation

In a significant step toward advancing its digital transformation journey, OTC 840 Kuwait Airways has signed a Master Services Agreement (MSA) with Impulse International Telecommunications, establishing a foundation for the adoption of the latest IT services and applications as part of Kuwait Airways' digital transformation initiative.

The signing ceremony was attended by Captain Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan, Chairman of the Board at Kuwait Airways, Eng. Ezzat Abuamara, Vice Chairman and CEO of Impulse, and several executives from both companies.

This strategic agreement defines the operational and commercial framework that Kuwait Airways will rely on to procure and manage IT solutions provided by Impulse. Through this partnership, Kuwait Airways will be able to adopt a scalable cloud infrastructure, advanced data and analytics capabilities, and application modernization tools, all in line with global best practices.

On the sidelines of the signing, Al-Fagaan stated” Kuwait Airways is pleased to sign this important agreement with Impulse, as part of our efforts to enhance our digital and technological performance across all levels. This step is a key part of our digital transformation journey and aligns with Kuwait Vision 2035” .

He added that the agreement with Impulse ensures Kuwait’s national carrier can adopt the latest cloud computing technologies efficiently and securely, in line with the company’s strategic goals of improving customer experience and increasing operational agility.

Al-Fagaan also pointed out that Impulse is the authorized distributor of the AFA (Agency Framework Agreement) with Google Cloud, making it a central player in Kuwait’s cloud ecosystem. He noted that Impulse will provide full support to Kuwait Airways throughout its cloud journey — from solution design and initial setup to ongoing optimization and regulatory compliance.

He concluded by emphasizing Kuwait Airways’ continued commitment to performance development to become the preferred airline for all travelers, noting that the company constantly strives to introduce diverse services through modern and advanced technologies, offering passengers a superior travel experience through a national airline defined by quality, safety, and reliability.

For his part, Eng. Ezzat Abuamara stated: “This agreement with Kuwait Airways embodies our core mission of enabling digital transformation in Kuwait, by accelerating the adoption of technology and cloud services, and delivering advanced and innovative solutions that allow institutions to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
