Almowazi Capital Company, a financial services company specializing in brokerage and crowdfunding solutions, announced that it has been officially registered as the first licensed company in the Capital Markets Authority’s fintech services register for securities-based technologies.

Under CMA Resolution No. 132 of 2025, the company is now authorized to operate iMowazi, a digital securities crowdfunding platform. This strategic step was made in cooperation with its partner, Arab Investment Company (underwriting agent).

The platform is launched in accordance with Book 19 (Fintech) issued by the CMA in 2024, marking a milestone in establishing fintech-based companies in Kuwait.

A New Digital Crowdfunding Product for the Market

On this occasion, Mohanad Al-Sane, Chairman and CEO of Almowazi Capital, emphasized that the company is bringing a new product to the Kuwaiti market: the iMowazi crowdfunding platform, enabling issuing companies to raise capital by offering securities in exchange for partial equity, supporting their growth and expansion plans.

He added that applications for offering companies will be accepted electronically, with preparatory processes underway to launch their campaigns on iMowazi, once all regulatory requirements are met.

Raed Bukhamseen: Supporting Entrepreneurs and Enhancing Market Liquidity

Raed Bukhamseen, Vice Chairman, highlighted that the initiative aligns with the CMA’s fintech framework, calling on private sector collaboration to introduce innovative digital investment tools. He said iMowazi aims to connect entrepreneurs with investors, enabling bold business expansions and boosting market liquidity.

Mohamed Al-Rasheed: Smart Classification and Seamless Integration

Mohamed Al-Rasheed, Assistant Vice CEO, explained that the platform offers transparency, ease, and speed in presenting opportunities. Investors are categorized into three groups: retail, professional, and qualified professional, each participating based on their knowledge and regulatory limits.

He added that the platform is integrated with PACI (Public Authority for Civil Information) for Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, and with a licensed electronic payment system by the Central Bank of Kuwait to ensure secure, smooth transactions.

Gratitude to the Capital Markets Authority

Al-Sane, Bukhamseen, and Al-Rasheed extended their appreciation to the CMA’s Fintech Supervision Department, praising their professionalism and efficiency, which contributed to the successful launch of Kuwait’s first securities-based crowdfunding platform.
