The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has issued Decision No. (110) of 2025 regarding the licensing request submitted by OTC 933 Kuwait Clearing Company to operate as a clearing agency.
The CMA approved the request, and the company will provide clearing and settlement services as well as central counterparty services. The license becomes effective from the implementation of Part Two of Phase Three of the Capital Market System Development Program, starting July 13, 2025.
The company must also pay the renewal fee for any additional licensing period in accordance with Law No. 7 of 2010, its executive regulations, amendments, and CMA decisions and instructions.
Kuwait Clearing Company must finalize the transfer of all operations related to clearing agency services (clearing and settlement) to Kuwait Clearing within a maximum period of six months from July 13, 2025.
