The extraordinary general assembly of Trolley General Trading Company approved on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, the amendment of Article (3) of its bylaws concerning the purposes and activities of the company.

The amended purposes are as follows: Without prejudice to the provisions of Companies Law No. 1/2016 and its amendments and executive regulations, the purposes for which the company was established are:

central markets for food products and non-food products, an import and export office, retail sales of food products, wholesale and retail trade, grocery stores, cafeterias, and small coffee mills and roasteries.

Additionally, the company will sell mobile phone accessories, wholesale coffee and tea products, wholesale gifts and luxury items, communication devices and their accessories, pastries, confectionery, juices and soft drinks, healthy juices and refreshments, cold and hot beverages, and retail through vending machines. It will also engage in the retail sale of cigarettes, tobacco, and their accessories, a family supplies market, and the retail sale of stationery, office supplies, newspapers, and magazines (libraries).

The company will also buy and sell stocks and bonds on its own account, own real estate, and personal property for the benefit of the company and buy and sell land and real estate solely on behalf of the company.

It will invest surplus financial resources in financial portfolios managed by specialized companies and entities.
The company will conduct the activities primarily in Kuwait and abroad, either directly or by agency. The company may also engage in similar, supplementary, necessary, or related activities and may hold interests or collaborate in any capacity with organizations and companies that conduct similar activities or that may assist it in achieving its objectives in Kuwait or abroad, and it may establish, participate in, or acquire such organizations or companies.
