Egypt's Minister of Investment and International Trade, Eng. Hassan El-Khateeb, met with the Chairman of Bu khamseen Holding Group, Jawad Bu khamseen, to discuss the company's current and future projects in the Egyptian market. 

They also reviewed the government's efforts to improve the business environment and the investment opportunities and capabilities within the Egyptian market.

The minister mentioned that the meeting covered the company’s investments in Egypt in the fields of hotel management, finance, and restaurant management. He noted that the company aims to expand its presence in the Egyptian market within hotel management, as it is studying the establishment of a new hotel with investments amounting to $125 million.

El-Khateeb added that the government is currently implementing further reforms to financial, monetary, and procedural policies aimed at facilitating investments and streamlining external trade for Egypt. 

He highlighted efforts to reduce customs clearance time to only two days while also working on more tax reforms to relieve burdens on investors, as well as reducing the number of government entities interacting with investment projects.

The minister emphasized that the ministry is working to create a more competitive investment climate that attracts both local and foreign investments by providing a supportive institutional and legislative environment, improving the business atmosphere, simplifying procedures, and overcoming obstacles faced by investors.

In turn, the Chairman of Bu khamseen Holding Group, Jawad Bo khamseen, affirmed the group's commitment to establishing and expanding its presence in the Egyptian market as a major investment destination in the region, noting that the group is currently working on two new projects in the Fifth Settlement in Cairo.
