Universe Educational Company will start today, Sunday, January 5, 2025, distributing cash dividends amounting to 220% to its shareholders, as published on the official website of the Kuwait Clearing Company. It is important to note that the Competition Protection Authority announced on September 24, 2023, that Cognita Middle East OPCO Holdings Limited (UAE) and Universe Educational Company applied for approval to complete the economic concentration process, where "Cognita Middle East" is set to acquire 67% of "Universe," in accordance with Law No. (72) of 2020 regarding competition protection and Article (83) of its executive regulation issued by Board Decision No. (14) of 2021, which states that "any interested party may submit a reasoned objection to the Authority regarding the request for economic concentration within (15) fifteen days from the date of notification or publication."
