The Competition Protection Agency approved that merger between Al-Safat Investment Company with Cap Corp Investment Company by means of amalgamation. The Agency granted its approval to the merger proposal after establishing that the amalgamation has no effect on competition, since "Safat" would retain its legal status as the merging entity.

On 20 September 2022, the Board of Directors, chaired by Abdullah Al-Tarkit, unanimously approved the asset valuation report and the investment advisor's opinion on the evaluation and swap shares that "Cap Corp" shareholders will receive from Safat Investment Company as a result of the merger by amalgamation.

In preparation for the conclusion of the merger process between both companies, the Board of Directors of "Al Safat Investment" is pursuing the appropriate steps, including obtaining regulatory clearance from CMA.

According to preliminary estimations, the merger will result in forming a prominent investment firm with strong solvency and liquidity capable of competing and achieving the shareholders' objectives in the future.
