The Board of Directors of the Shared Automated Banking Services Company (Knet), during its meeting held on May 22nd, unanimously approved the recommendation of Muhammad Al-Othman as Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors, representing National Bank of Kuwait, as a successor to Adel Al-Majid .
Al-Othman has a long banking experience that extends for more than 20 years, during which he has emerged as one of the leading national banking professionals working to develop the Kuwaiti banking business and deliver a modern vision in providing distinguished banking services and a role model in the transition towards relying on the latest digital products and advanced payment solutions.
Al-Othman gained his extensive experience during his outstanding professional journey at NBK, where he drew attention and revealed a banking efficiency that grew and became increasingly refined within the most prestigious banking schools in Kuwait and the region. He always left a clear imprint in all the positions he held until he assumed the task of managing the banking services group NBK’s personality to continue the process of achievement and development and become responsible for providing banking services, products and solutions to about half of Kuwaiti society amid exceptional circumstances that did not prevent him from leading the work team to make a tangible leap in the provision of digital services and advanced payment solutions.
Al-Othman returns to the presidency of the Board of Directors of the Shared Electronic Banking Services Company, where he held the position before, at the beginning of the year 2015. The Company also witnessed rapid development that enhanced its readiness for all variables and its success in performing its national and banking role to the fullest during COVID-19 pandemic.
