The Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) has announced that Cognita Middle East and Universe Educational Company (K.S.C.C) , trading under OTC code #355 on the Kuwait OTC Platform, have applied for economic concentration (acquisition deal). Under the proposed agreement, Cognita Middle East plans to acquire a 67% stake in Universe Education. This transaction is subject to the provisions of Law No. (72) of 2020 regarding the protection of competition and Article (83) of its Executive Regulations issued by Board Resolution No. (14) of 2021. 

  As per the regulations, stakeholders have the right to submit reasoned objections to the ECA within fifteen days from the date of notification or publication. The ECA invites all interested parties to express any objections they may have regarding this economic concentration within the specified time frame mentioned in the announcement.
