Kuwait Slaughterhouse Company’s EGM approves its liquidation and distributes KWD 700,000 as proceeds of liquidation

Kuwaiti Slaughterhouse Company held its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Sunday, 20 March 2022, and approved and consented to liquidate the company. The EGM appointed (Hussein Abdullah Jawhar - liquidator) to oversee the liquidation process. He was granted the legal powers that enable him to perform his mandate, provided that the liquidation period lasts for a period of one year from the date of registering the event in the Commercial Register at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The liquidator’s fees were set at a KWD 1,500 dinars for the liquidation period (one year).

It was also unanimously approved by the shareholders who attended the company’s EGM to authorize the company’s liquidator, Hussein Abdullah Ahmad Jawhar, to distribute  KWD 700,000 in two instalments at the most, as an advance payment to shareholders pro rata to their ownership stake in the Company’s capital as a percentage of the liquidation proceeds until the completion of the liquidation process.
