The General Administration of Civil Aviation files a lawsuit to order UPAC’s subsidiary, Royal Aviation Kuwait, to pay KWD 3.7 million

United Projects for Aviation Services Company K.S.C.P (UPAC) announced, in a disclosure issued to the Kuwait Stock Exchange, that one of its subsidiaries - Royal Aviation Kuwait K.S.C.C. was served notice of case number (2303/2019 Administrative Division - 1) requesting that its subsidiary - Royal Aviation Kuwait KSCC ("the Company") - to pay KWD 3,782,829,297. The legal proceedings are based on a claim of breaching the conditions of Tender No. (1-2003/2004) executed between the two parties to provide technical support and ground services for The General Administration of Civil Aviation at Kuwait International Airport. The General Administration of Civil Aviation did not notify the company of the aforementioned lawsuit. Therefore, the court of first instance issued its ruling to dismiss the case due the General Administration of Civil Aviation’s failure to follow through with the court's order to properly notify the company. The General Administration of Civil Aviation appealed the verdict issued by the court of first instance, demanding that the ruling to be rescinded and the case be returned to the Court of First Instance to decide on its subject matter.
